The Bernards Inn, in partnership with nationally recognized interior designer and lifestyle expert Jeffrey Haines of Butler’s of Far Hills, announces its new Signature Style of Entertaining. The luxury Signature Series will take entertaining to a new level by combining the award-winning hospitality and cuisine of the Inn with extraordinary event design and decor.
This collaboration between The Bernards Inn and Jeffrey Haines evolved from Haines’ recent multi-million dollar redesign of the Inn’s restaurant and guest rooms. The new design recaptures the classic elegance of a bygone era in the Somerset Hills and combines it with a Park Avenue flair.
The Signature Series is an extension of that project, as the century-old landmark hotel and restaurant was redesigned as a “Grand Dame” home with luxury entertaining in mind. Haines’ vision for the Inn has restored and transformed it into an estate-like property as was—and still is—the lifestyle of those living in the mansions upon Bernardsville Mountain and the surroundings. Each guest room has been uniquely designed and named for a noteworthy Somerset Hills estate.

This marriage of design and entertaining has resulted in six concepts inspired by Haines that are tailored to the tastes of a discerning bride and groom or patron planning a private party or corporate event.
The process includes a private consultation with Haines so the event can reflect the personal style of the couple or individual. Guests then select from a menu of themes which correspond to specially selected linens, china, flatware, glassware, florals and centerpieces, along with unique antiques and accoutrements from Haines’ own J. Butler Collection.
Concepts include:
TRADITIONALIST--Romance and charm surround guests in this gardenesque theme that infuses multiple soft palettes and elegant embellishments.
TRADITIONAL SOPHISTICATE—Understated glamour and clean lines capture the timelessness that is punctuated by stunning details.
CLASSIC MODERN—Minimalist and edgy, this quintessential art deco- inspired theme demands your attention with contrasting features and mirrored accents.
COSMOPOLITAN—High couture and “glam” define this chic and distinctive dÈcor...the ultimate in sophisticated styling.
NATURALIST—Inspired by nature, this stunning organic theme flows with layering textures and herbal and earth tones that create a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere.
INDIVIDUALIST—Dare to be different with this eclectic selection that reflects the individual with taste and originality.
