Located on Rex Hill in Oregon, the grapes for this wine are sourced from 10 different single vineyards. Flavors consist of sweet plum, red and black cherry, blackberry, spice, finishing with good length on the palate.

Ferrari Carano “Prevail West Face”, Alexander Valley 2003
Prevail is a mountain winery estate only producing small lots of red wine. The grapes are grown on Lookout Mountain planted on volcanic soil on steep slopes allowing the tiny berries to ripen evenly, which produces a wine with intense concentration of fruit flavors. The colors used for the label copper, blue and magenta represent the earth, sky and sun respectively, or the soil climatic conditions and sun exposure known as “terrior”. Deep purple in color, earthy, mineral, St. Estephe like in character, nice tannins, ripeness, dried her, cherry, berry, terrior driven.
