Every year the calendar pages turn and then…it’s here!  The holidays, that time from Thanksgiving straight through New Year’s that is filled with joy and yes, sadness.  It is a time of hustle and bustle, a time of reflection on the happenings of the previous months. It is also a time where we can quietly make a difference.  In the season of giving there are a few organizations that you might find very worthwhile this holiday season, here are a few to peak your interest, One Gift, Inc…founded by Anne Delaney and Leigh Porges at www.onegift.org and Gifts That Give, Inc….www.giftst...

Tracey Mancini, our Senior Catering Sales Manager and myself have been long time co-workers and have always had a very close friendship. We are both very happy to have recently celebrated 17 years of service at the Bernards Inn. Tracey is like a wonderful sister to me, and I look forward to celebrating many more years working with her here at the beautiful Bernards Inn.

However, on our recent visit to the island we decided we were going to try all new places…. ooooh…a scary thought, but if we did the research…how bad could it be? We had to s...

In early September I began restyling the Fenwick Ballroom -- stop in and take a look at its new sophisticated atmosphere and organic touches. The room is designed to be versatile in atmosphere, therefore making it available for a variety of events, both professional and social. The walls were custom mixed for a natural comfortable non-color, I like to call it Mellowed Sage.  I designed the carpet with a large scale interlocking block pattern and of course there is the silver touch on the new custom painted shaded sconces. The whole room has taken on a wonderful air of sophistication tha...
