It is always an adventure dining out, no matter where you are, for me that is the fun of it.  I do the same things everyone else does…the research.  I search the guides and references on the internet to see what might suit my vacation mood.  My husband Steve and I vacation in Grand Cayman when we have the opportunity.  We are somewhat creatures of habit, we like what we like and tend to stick to it. However, on our recent visit to the island we decided we were going to try all new places…. ooooh…a scary thought, but if we did the research…how bad could it be? We had to s...

In early September I began restyling the Fenwick Ballroom -- stop in and take a look at its new sophisticated atmosphere and organic touches. The room is designed to be versatile in atmosphere, therefore making it available for a variety of events, both professional and social. On Wednesday night I attended the opening ...

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, and I took this picture last year at an elaborate Halloween party held here at the Bernards Inn. Yes, I am a Michael Jackson fan. I thought it was magical the way he performed and danced, probably the best that ever performed. About once a year, I like to sip wine with cheese on a late Sunday afternoon and watch on DVD the live concert performances from Michael Jackson.  This picture is of course a great Michael Jackson impersonator.  Happy Halloween!

I recently concluded the growing season of our garden with the help of the fifth grade class of The Willow School.  What an absolute pleasure!  They were very helpful in the planting of the garden during the spring.  The looks on their faces when they saw how everything had grown was awesome.  As we entered the herb garden one of the children said it felt like walking into a jungle.  The shiso, pineapple sage, and fennel were taller then the kids.  To hear them talk about the flavors as they tasted all the different herbs was priceless.  The fun we had diggin...
