 Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, engagement or even a wedding, toasting the occasion with a special bottle of wine or champagne can add a thoughtful, memorable touch. Several years ago, I asked our own Terri Baldwin, sommelier and wine director, to research and help me find a special 1983 Taittinger Champagne that we bought and held for a number of years here at the Inn. Why that vintage? It was the birth year of my son and I knew that someday I would want to have a special bottle of Champagne to open and enjoy with him on his wedding day.
