A grilled cheese sandwich is one of my all-time lunch favorites. I created this grilled cheese and asparagus sandwich for our new spring lunch menu. It utilizes the abundance of asparagus and baby arugula at this time of year. The tanginess of the brie and the depth of the grain mustard pull it all together to create a fantastic flavor combination. Enjoy! Spring is just days away and the anticipation has been building here at The Bernards Inn. Opus One has earned a sterling reputation for being one of the best wines in the world, and it certainly is one of my favorites. I’ve tasted and served the wine to delighted guests at The Bernards Inn for several years now, but it was my visit to the winery itself in the Napa Valley that revealed how a wine of such superb quality is produced—with passion, knowledge and utmost care. One of the joys of being a chef is creating food that stimulates people’s senses.  The first reaction is visual as the food is presented.  A veritable feast for the eyes!
