Their meeting was destiny. Caesar Mistretta, Jr.  and Martha Rooney met at a Bernardsville Chamber of Commerce gathering. Caesar, the son of J.M. Stringer Gallery owner, Caesar Mistretta, Sr. and Martha, the daughter of Mastro Shoes owner Peter Rooney, began their romance shortly thereafter which led up to their engagement at The Bernards Inn and eventually their wedding day here on July 2, 2011.  Martha’s engagement and wedding rings were handcrafted by Mitchell-Peck fine jewelers of Bernardsville. The beautiful Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey recently hosted the Sybase Match Play LPGA golf tournament  The Bernards Inn had the pleasure of hosting Cristie Kerr, the 4th ranked player in the world who was the runner up in the tournament to Suzann Pettersen. As well as being a celebrated professional golfer and breast cancer activist, Cristie is a wine enthusiast who created her own label called Curvature.
