If you missed our boutique-chic Bridal Showcase, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the beauty and drama of the afternoon. Highlights included a breathtaking fashion show by Jean-Ralph Thurin featuring original bridal designs, as well as the spectacular custom wedding cakes created by Bernards Inn Pastry Chef, Elizabeth Katz. Special thanks to New Jersey Bride editor, Molly Tully, and all of the expert panelists including Jeffrey Haines, Signature Style Events for The Bernards Inn, Julie Conley of Warren Country Events, Laura Bianco & Kara Thorson of My Bellissima, and all of our premier vendors. Winter is winding down but the chill of the season is still upon us. This brings to mind to drink a beautiful well-made glass of red Zinfandel that we are featuring and pouring by the glass. The wine is Green and Red Zinfandel, from a Napa Valley vineyard called “Chiles Mill Vineyard.” The name is derived from the rich red iron soils veined with green serpentine which are located in the steep hillls on the east side of the Napa Valley. This site acquired its name from pioneer J.B. Chiles.
On March 2nd, we will be hosting a Boutique Bridal Showcase. Thank you to Braunschweiger Jewelers, a participant at the showcase for this current information about wedding rings.
Couples today are putting their individual stamp on modern wedding plans, starting with the choice of engagement rings. No longer are brides accepting what ring is given to them by their future spouses; rather, they are actively engaged in the purchasing decision and letting it be known what they want to wear on their fingers. Consequently, the traditional round solitaire ring and the beloved three stone rings are often being replaced by rings with boldly colored gems, unusually shaped stones and creative artisan designs.
