I spent Christmas and the following week in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. What a beautiful part of the United States. The wide open landscape, the people, the small downtown; it is totally different than anyplace in the east. On Christmas Eve Day, my wife and I had lunch at a place called The Wort Inn and sitting next to us were two cowboys. And when I say cowboys, I mean real cowboys! Hats, boots and leather chaps!
Whenever I travel I always try the local cuisine and meat is the big seller out here. My favorite restaurant in Jackson is The Snake River Grill, where meat takes the center stage. Elk Osso Buco, Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, Bone-In Buffalo Steak, or Colorado Lamb T-Bone. Throw in Roasted Bone Marrow with Ryecrips and you have a pretty hearty meal! Happy New Year.
