The Holidays are a Time of Reflection

Every year the calendar pages turn and then…it’s here!  The holidays, that time from Thanksgiving straight through New Year’s that is filled with joy and yes, sadness.  It is a time of hustle and bustle, a time of reflection on the happenings of the previous months.
It is also a time where we can quietly make a difference.  In the season of giving there are a few organizations that you might find very worthwhile this holiday season, here are a few to peak your interest, One Gift, Inc…founded by Anne Delaney and Leigh Porges at www.onegift.org and Gifts That Give, Inc….www.giftsthatgive.com founded by Nancy Taylor.
I had the privilege of meeting the founders of these two organizations at the Tribute to Women event presented by the Patriot’s Path Council of the Boy Scouts this week.  They are amazing women that have found a way to make it easy to help our community.  I was very proud to meet them.
The Bernards Inn is also proud to assist in our own way with our Third Annual Holiday Tasting Dinner to benefit the Goryeb Children’s Hospital on December 3, 2009. Visit our website at www.bernardsinn.com or phone 908-766-0002 to make a reservation.  It is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with your colleagues, friends and family.
Begin your holiday season reflecting  on the year as it closes and do something wonderful to help children.   I promise you will feel really good.
I hope to see you there.
