Healthy, refreshing and oh so delicious, these drinks like the Bernards Sangria and Summer Melontini, capture the season. So grow your own cocktails with these recipes and ingredients from your own garden.
3 ounces red or white wine
¼ ounce of vodka, brandy & triple sec
½ ounce of fresh orange juice
½ ounce club soda
Place all ingredients in a wine glass with some ice. Garnish with fresh, summer fruits (strawberries, grapes, blueberries, orange slices). Can be made by the pitcher by increasing ingredients by 2 or 3 times, or more.
1-1/2 ounces melon-infused vodka (infuse the vodka with cantaloupe, honeydew & watermelon for 2-4 days)
1/2ounce midori melon liquor
1 ounce white cranberry juice
Place all ingredients in a shaker glass with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with assorted melon skewers.
