The beautiful Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey recently hosted the Sybase Match Play LPGA golf tournament The Bernards Inn had the pleasure of hosting Cristie Kerr, the 4th ranked player in the world who was the runner up in the tournament to Suzann Pettersen.
As well as being a celebrated professional golfer and breast cancer activist, Cristie is a wine enthusiast who created her own label called Curvature. The Curvature label is made at the Pride Winery facility under the direction and partnership with Suzanne Pride Bryan who is the owner of Pride Mountain Vineyards. The first release was a 2006 Cabernet with a production of 350 cases, followed by a 700 case production of the 2007 Cabernet. Cristie is a breast cancer awareness activist supporting her mother who is a breast cancer survivor. She donates $50.00 to what she calls “Birdies for Breast Cancer” every time she birdies a hole.
I look forward to the opportunity of trying this very small production of Curvature wines. I’m glad Cristie joined us for dinner, and with great admiration I wish her continued success on the tour and with her new venture of Curvature wines.
