Best Pinot Noir

Ms. Baldwin:

We have just finished a fantastic meal at the Bernardsville Inn this
evening and truly enjoyed our respective wines from your "by the
glass" selection. Personally, the best wine I have ever tasted was a
$21.00 per glass Oregon Pinot Noir whose name I can't entirely
remember. It was Domaine D... and from there the name gets fuzzy. Can
you help tell me what wine this might be and let me know the year? It
was absolutely fantastic... Best Pinot that I've ever had! Thank you
so much for your help... I would be eternally grateful!

Best Regards,

Christy Garth
Durham, NC

The wine was Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir, Willamette OR 2006 @ 21.25 a glass. This wine has a medium ruby color with a bouquet of wood smoke, spice box, cherry and raspberry, silky texture with excellent balance. The mouthfeel is lush exhibiting soft oak with a dusting of fine-grained earth, all followed by a long elegant finish.
