Ms. Baldwin: We have just finished a fantastic meal at the Bernardsville Inn this evening and truly enjoyed our respective wines from your "by the glass" selection. Personally, the best wine I have ever tasted was a $21.00 per glass Oregon Pinot Noir whose name I can't entirely remember. It was Domaine D... and from there the name gets fuzzy. My great niece, Miss Haley Michelle Swanson who recently turned 10 was visiting from South Carolina a few weeks ago and was very excited to help with dinner on our outdoor patio. As she eagerly helped to set the table, she had an order pad in her Bernards Inn logo chef’s jacket. As our 6 guests were seated, Miss Haley went to each guest and took orders including drinks, salad dressing choices, temperature of meats, etc. Haley loves to play restaurant, and pay attention to everything that pertains to the business. I have trained her to do the “show and tell” of wine service, and it was so heart...

Only once a year, I have the opportunity to see my great niece little Miss Haley Marie Swanson who has recently turned 10. Her mother, Sgt. Lisa Marie Swanson has been in the US Army for 12 years, and has been separated from her two children on two separate occasions for over a year each time while serving in Afghanistan and Korea.  The Swanson family now resides in South Carolina, and it makes it difficult to see the children.
