I am quite partial to lobster rolls.  At the inn we offer a traditional lobster roll that is absolutely delicious.  However, just recently I experienced a lobster roll like no other.  Pure, simple joy!  If you are driving on Interstate 95 going north or south, you must stop in Clinton, CT and pay a visit to the Lobster Landing, you won’t be sorry.  On a recent trip to Newport, RI for the annual return-to-college excursion with my daughter, we were tipped off by one of the locals about this gem.  For $13.00 it is a big bite of heaven.  The secret…it’s a warm l...

The air is changing.  You can feel it.  The summer winds are dying down...maybe we have a week or two left but the morning and evening chill in the air has returned.  Summer draws to  a close.  There are a few short weeks between the end of August and mid September that I call the Perfect Weeks.  I equate it to the best of San Diego weather, those of you that have been there know what I mean.  The mornings are always glorious and the evenings are just a bit more special.  You really want to be outside.  You need to be outside.  It always makes me a bit sad.  I try to hold on to the feeling of ...
